Japanese Restaurant Windermere: The Room That Brought the Kaitai

Most of what a Japanese restaurant Windermere diners can choose from will hand you a finished plate and keep the work behind a wall. Kingdom Sushi opened at 6506 Old Brick Rd, Windermere, FL 34786 on December 20, 2024, and it arrived carrying something none of our other rooms had at the time. This is where the Kaitai Experience started, and it is still the store the name belongs to.

Japanese Restaurant Windermere: The Kaitai, and What Unlimited Means Here

The Kaitai Experience is a fish-cutting show, staged in the dining room alongside the all-you-can-eat menu rather than instead of it. Windermere introduced it when the store opened in late 2024, which makes this the room where the idea was tried first.

We will not dress it up with details the kitchen has not committed to publicly. When it runs, and which fish comes out on a given night, are worth a quick call to the restaurant before you plan an evening around it. What is fixed is the pairing: the show happens in the same room, on the same night, as an unlimited menu that keeps arriving while you watch.

All-you-can-eat here is not a buffet, and the difference is the entire point. Nothing waits under a lamp. Each order is fired when you place it, courses keep coming for as long as you keep asking, and dessert belongs to the format rather than to a separate check.

The menu runs across seven sections: appetizers, sashimi, nigiri, temaki, sushi rolls, desserts and hot meals. The roll list alone holds 22 options, including Chef Jacquin’s Roll and Chef Maninho’s Roll, the only two items on the menu carrying a chef’s name. Plenty of it never touches raw fish either, from yakisoba and gyoza to yakimeshi and tilapia bites, so a table that disagrees about sashimi still eats well. When a single plate suits the night better than an open format, the à la carte side of the Menu is always there.

Premium Teppans and a Bar Built on Sake

Premium is additive rather than separate. You keep the whole All You Can Eat menu and gain 22 items that live only on that tier. The newest of them are the teppans, grilled to order and brought out on a hot plate: octopus, salmon, shrimp and white fish at 12 slices each, grilled in butter with a garlic topping available. The Teppan Salmon Supreme is a fillet stuffed with shrimp, cream cheese and fresh scallions.

The bar is where the Brazilian half of this kitchen stops being a tagline. The Caipisake is a caipirinha rebuilt on sake instead of cachaça, poured in lychee, passion fruit, cashew, strawberry and lime variations. Beside it sit the Espresso Saketini with Kahlúa and Baileys, the Sake Colada with condensed milk and coconut cream, and the Tokyo Tropical Spritz with Prosecco and Aperol. Fresh juices cover the same ground without alcohol, cashew and passion fruit among them.

Specials, Delivery and the App

Several offers run alongside the menu, each with its own conditions. Active and retired military personnel receive 20% off with official ID, on the All You Can Eat menu. Kids eat free on Tuesdays and Wednesdays: with 2 adult All You Can Eat, one child up to 10 years old gets a Regular All You Can Eat at no charge. On a birthday, when 4 adults order All You Can Eat, the birthday guest’s Regular All You Can Eat is free. Groups of 10 or more receive 15% off for corporate events, with at least 24 hours notice and company information provided. All of them are listed with their full terms on Specials.

For nights that stay at home, Sushi Delivery and pickup both run from the Windermere kitchen. Ordering through the Kingdom Sushi App adds Royal Rewards points, secret menu items and a standing offer of $10 off when you spend $100, applied automatically at checkout.

Booking the Japanese Restaurant Windermere Started Talking About

Kingdom Sushi began in Orlando in 2019, at 5632 International Dr, with a kitchen that reads as Japanese and cooks with a Brazilian accent. Windermere came five years later and added the part you watch rather than only taste.

Doors open at 12:00 PM and close at 11:00 PM, seven days a week, with the lunch service running until 4:00 PM. Call (407) 347-3446 to ask about the Kaitai before you come, hold a table through Reservations, or message us on WhatsApp for anything general.
